 These songs are a monument to our not too distant past, during which USSR tried to build a new socialist society. It was an interesting time, a time not only of terror and the Gulags, but also, of 'The Great Projects', enthusiasm, victories, and faith in a 'bright future for all of humanity'. Even regardless of the fact that today many of these songs are only able to bring a smile on one's face, I am convinced that we should not deny something, which is a part of our history and culture.
