Here we have collected resources for learning Russian. All
resources are sorted by language - on the top we have resources in Russian, and at the
bottom of the page we have English lessons, rules and exercises. Please, let us know if
you find any mistakes or have any questions.
Уроки русского языка на основе курса "Здравствуйте !"
This new course is special because it is the first complete
language course we put on our site. It is based on Irina Osipova's course "Здравствуйте !",
which includes textbooks, work books and audio tapes. Unfortunately, we are not able to
present audio files here, but we are posting most of the textbook and work book materials.
Now we have first of four books, but we are adding more every day.
Each chapter takes approximately a week to complete, if you study every day and even longer
if you do not work every day.
These materials are posted in order they appear in the
original course "Здравствуйте !" by Irina Osipova. We have made some additions and
removed some parts. If you go through all the sections of
this four-book course, it will be a good help with your other studies. After completing
this course, you will be on "Beginner" level and will be able to hold a simple conversation,
read some texts and even understand speech.
We would like to share some simple, but very important rules
for your success in learning. First of all, all this course requires that you have a
dictionary and look up each single word that you do not understand. Not only translate
it once for yourself, but memorize it. The same with all the rules and grammar. The second
rules is that you do not move to the next chapter until you completely understand and memorize
all the previous ones.

"Declination of numerals / Склонение числительных"
This simple tool displays all 12 forms (12 падежей) for any number
between 1 and 9999. More than 90% of people - native Russian speakers
and learners - can not properly declinate long Russian numerals. Instead of
saying "с пятьюдесятью двумя рублями" (which is a proper form), they say
"с пятьдесят двумя рублями". Use this tool to display the correct forms
for all 12 cases: Nominative, Genitive, Dative, Accusative, Instrumental and
Prepositional.
