Here we have an absolutely unique on-line
collection of children's stories and fairy tales, that I have encoded from
my old vinyl discs. All of them are now 25-30 years old and very fragile.
I decided to preserve the records by digitizing and saving them on my computer.
I purchased a great turntable made by "Technics", on eBay. You can see the picture on the right. The sound is awesome, even though the turntable is around 20 years old. I connected it to my computer through an amplifier and used sound recording and editing software to save my records on the computer. The files are saved in MP3 format and can be played with Windows Media Player, that comes as a part of Windows operating system or with any other popular program, such as WinAmp (recommended).
